How The Idea of Death Can Improve Our Lives
When we talk about death, we usually frown and withdraw ourselves from the topic. This is such a sensitive issue that we barely like to think about it as it only brings us nothing but sadness, pain, and agony. As such, we decide to just dwell on the opposite of death: life.

However, as much as we’d want to avoid death, the truth is, it’s inevitable. Death will come to us at some point in life. But if you would take the time to change your perspective about death, you can see that it’s not all dark.

I’m not afraid of death. It’s the stake one puts up in order to play the game of life. ~Jean Giraudoux

There are still positive things about death that can help you improve your life for the better.Consider what a successful life means to you

In life, choices and decisions are inescapable. In fact, that’s the fundamental thing about life. We’re bound to make painful and firm decisions in one way or another. However, most of us aren’t making the best decisions because we let the society trap us. We’re so wrapped up in conforming to the standards set by society that we forget the most important thing, which is the fact that we have the ability to make decisions that will lead us to happiness and a sense of fulfillment.

The society “programmed” us that we have to finish college studies to be successful; we need to take a particular course in order to be professionals. If you want to be an artist or any profession that is not mainstream, many will judge you that you won’t do well in life quickly. But is that really the case?

Remember that you’re the only one who can traverse to your own success. What’s the point of struggling if you don’t like that path? Break free from the society and follow your passion! If you don’t, what would you do if tomorrow’s your last day and you still haven’t fulfilled your dream? I bet you’ll feel remorse and regret. And if you don’t want that feeling, hurry and pursue your ultimate dream and passion.

Change your mindset to achieve what’s important to you.

When you’ve had the guts to follow your dreams, it’s time for you to change your mindset. What is it that you actually want? What are the things that matter most to you? If you already have the answer to these questions, list down the steps and strategies to get you closer to your dreams. This is important because it will serve as your new mindset as you work on achieving your goals.

We also recommend that you to join communities and clubs that are inclined to your passion. These support groups will give you the confidence and strength to keep on pursuing your dreams.

Give Up Excuses

One of the greatest hindrances to achieving your goal is the failure to identify it. But do you know what’s the next hindrance we face? Procrastination. At first, we feel an intense fire burning inside, an undying motivation to pursue dreams.

However, as time goes by, the fire slowly burns out. Our desire is overcome by tiredness, insecurities, and laziness. What is the remedy for this?

That is where death comes in. If you imagine yourself lying on your deathbed, looking back in your life, and seeing that you’ve done nothing to achieve your dream, it spikes the fear within us. Do you really want that? Use this fear to become your motivation to keep going. Keep moving forward for as long as you can to pursue your dreams before your time runs out.
